TOURIST VS. TRAVELER: Which one are you?

Throughout the years, many people tend to use descriptive words like tourist, traveler, wanderer and etc. In that one single word, you could determine what they are pertaining to. The main focus of this blog is to let you know that being a TRAVELER is the more exciting and splendid word to use rather being a TOURIST.

Few people that are new to traveling prefer to call themselves as a tourist.

What is TOURIST?  Tourist is a too limited word for me. Being a tourist, you tend to be dependent on what a tour package you had bought to live the travel you want to and having a tour guide beside you and your squad doing storytelling about a certain country he/she represents. As a beginner, an act of tourist is easy to express while learning the world of travel in another country or city that you never been to.

The first level of traveling is to become a tourist and spot the attractive and wonderful destinations around the world but it is a big BUT because TRAVELER is an act of being more than a tourist which is both an explorer and adventurer. I rather call myself a TRAVELER than TOURIST ever since I started this wonderful journey. Travelers tend to visit new destinations, experience the local culture with new life experiences.

Note: You don’t need to change your whole self to become a good traveler. Take down all insecurities, fears, and worries then grab the chance to have great opportunities and experiences while you’re living the moment.

Traveling is one of the best activities you could do. Traveling solo or by the group is interchangeably accepted. The most important while doing it is you could find certain happiness in small things whether it is trying new local food, go to shopping, learn the culture and blend with the community outside of your native country.

Finding yourself as you go travel literally means you need to find your inner soul and passion in life. It’s better to have ME-TIMEs sometimes that speak to deal with your fears and negative thoughts also to know what you need to improve or maintain in the present that leads you to a successful life in the future.

Last important thing is to refer you as a TRAVELER than a TOURIST. Try new experience and let that grows in you. Be more open and see the beauty of real-world….No matter what, who, which you learn to be a more social butterfly, focus on positive having thoughts and spread love and reciprocated them with respect and humble attitude and finally BE YOURSELF!

Have you found which one are you? A tourist or traveler? This is kinda a tricky question but you will definitely know yourself more so happy traveling!

I love this! I definitely identify as a traveller rather than a tourist – When I am out on an adventure I tend to avoid the bigger tourist areas, seeking to experience the reality of life in another country rather than just seeing the image that they want us to see.
